Ariana's Ballet Show

Tonight was Ariana's yearly ballet recital. She's been dancing since she was 3 years old at Millbrae Dance Academy. This was her first year on pointe shoes. The performance was held at the Bayside Performing Arts Center. Her dance number was called "Paquita" .

Being the mother, I have to say she did wonderful and looked beautiful on stage. Everyone is very proud of her and now she will have restful summer until next fall.

Here she is below standing on her "toes"..........

Overall it was nice night of performances. Great job Ariana!!!!

Sadie is back home

Sadie is back home after having to spend 2 nights at the vet's office. She went in to get spayed and when i went to pick her up she had a small complication so they had to fix her today.

I was able to pick her up after work today and it's good to have her home. She's happy to be home also!!!!

Cosmo's Raincoat

Mr. Cosmo doesn't like the rain at all so I needed to find him a raincoat. i didn't care much for the ones at the usual pet stores so luckily I know someone who just opened up her new online store for dogs. Her link is http://www.everydogscloset.com/ I browsed thru her site and low and behold there were raincoats. So of course I had to buy one. So here he is modeling it. Of course now it's the summer time and we have no rain so it'll be saved for the first rainy day of the season.

Also Mr. Cosmo is now on the world wide web on her site. You can also see him in his new camo jacket. http://everydogscloset.com/Customer_Photo_Page.html

Sadie's First Groom

Today Sadie went to her first grooming visit. She was looking quite scruffy looking and I wanted to get her "cleaned" up. I dropped her off at lunchtime and picked her up after work. As you can see from the pictures she's absolutely ADORABLE. (okay i am biased). Dontcha love her cute little purple and yellow bow?

I love how her feet were trimmed!

She's starting to get that "lhasa" smile

Cosmo's First Grooming Visit

On Friday April 20 Cosmo went for his first grooming appt. I mainly just had them fix his face so that he could see better. The top of his head was looking a bit too messy for me. They did a great job on him. Cosmo was very well behaved also!

Vet Visit

Sadie had her first vet visit with us. she did very well. The only time she had a fit was when the vet looked in ears. She had her 3rd set of shots and will go back in one month for her final set of shots. her weight is 7.5lbs. She is healthy and doing good.

On a training note I bought a new clicker kit. We started training yesterday. She is doing good with come and sit. I am also using the clicker training to help with the housebreaking process. Overall she's doing well with potty training but still needs more work.

Comso is starting to interact more with her. They have actually started playing together. It's great to see them playing. I suspect that once Sadie gets bigger and less nippier he'll be playing more with her.

Sadie enjoys chasing the cats through the house. The youngest kitty, Dottie, loves to tease her by standing in the same room as her, waiting for her attention and then proceed to run through the whole house. It's quite funny to watch.

well it's late and the pups are just about to go to bed and so am I.

Welcome Sadie

Last Tuesday April 3 we picked up a new member to our family. Welcome to Sadie. She is a 12 wk old lhasa apso. We were looking for a companion for Cosmo. I originally was looking for a 2 or 3 year old female but it was too hard to find one. In fact it was hard trying to find any lhasas. I didn't really want a puppy but couldn't resist when i found her.
We've had her a week now and she is a joy although Cosmo and her don't get along that well. You can tell Cosmo would like to have her gone. Hopefully when she gets a little bigger and isn't constantly jumping on him he will like her. I'll follow up with more pictures as she gets older.

Meet Cosmo

After a few weeks of constant looking I've finally brought home the newest member of our family on Saturday March 3. His name is Cosmo. He is approximately a 5 year old lhasa apso dog. I adopted from the rescue organization C.A.R.E. located in San Jose, CA. I was originally looking for a chihuahua mix but when I set my eyes on this pup I knew that I had to meet him. After a detailed and informative conversation with his foster mom we were allowed to meet him. Oh I fell in love with him. Long story short he's now been home with us for a little over a week and he's a joy!
Here he is about to head to his new home. My oldest daughter was very excited about the adoption

Felines of the house

Meet the felines of the household. Caramel, Snuggles, and Dottie.

Caramel is the orange and yellow kitty. He was rescued from San Francisco SPCA . His nickname around the house is "old man of the sea". He got that nickname because of the expression on his face sometimes.

Dottie is the smaller of the black and white kitties. I got her by accident. We happened to be visiting our friends one night and she had rescued a mama cat and her babies. I think there were 2 or 3 babies and they were already spoken for except Dottie. I fell in love with her. She was so tiny! She just about fit in the palm of your hand. As you can see she's grown up to be a big girl. She's the shyest out of all my cats and the most skitterish, but she's a doll. She's full of love!

Snuggles is the larger of the black and white cats. (Laying on the right side of the bed). He is my favorite kitty. He almost acts human! He was adopted from the peninsula humane society. I almost walked out of there without seeing him but my husband saw him laying in the very back of his kennel. He was our first cat and animal that we brought home. He's been very good at adjusting to the different animals that have come into our house.
